6 months along!

Well, unfortunately I cannot get the ultrasound pictures to upload on this blog.  But, I've included some recent belly pics.  These are pictures from 21 weeks.  I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going!  I am over half way there!  Almost 2 more weeks and I'll be in the 3rd trimester...yikes!

Everything has been going very well.  I have been getting used to being exhausted and hungry with sore feet and back.  But, it's all for a good reason.  It is so consistent that I am hungry every 3 hours that I can now put money on it.  I feel like I am constantly eating, but eating healthy snacks.  When home on the weekends I usually eat "my" breakfast and then eat "our" breakfast when Sam wakes up.  I usually eat "our" dinner at night and then need another "dinner-like" snack before bed or in bed.  I eat on a constant basis at work as well.  I feel healthy and my weight and the baby are measuring right on so I must be doing something right! Right?  Sam is doing a great job at cleaning, cooking and bringing me snacks.  Snacks just taste so much better when someone brings them to you when you are propped up in your chair with your snuggie snuggled around you.  :)

Sam bought us tickets to the Trans Siberian Orchestra earlier this week.  We were both off of work and made a day of it in St. Paul.  It was filled with lots of lights, lasers, pyro and huge sound.  It was a lot of fun and was one helluva show!

We are standing up in our friends' wedding and sharing in the New Year's celebration with them this weekend.  We had a great Christmas and really enjoyed spending time with the ones we love.  A great big Thank You to everyone for the warm hospitality, delicious food, useful Christmas gifts, and wonderful memories.  We love you all!

It's a girl!

Yes folks, we're going to be buying pink!  We had our ultrasound last week and she looks perfect!  All of her measurements are right on track and everything is looking just as it should.  She continues to be very active and showed us how well she can kick and bounce around.  It was fun feeling her move and seeing it on the screen at the same time.  She also showed us how she is practicing her sucking and swallowing skills.  We caught her with a thumbs up pose a couple of times and also with her thumb very close to her mouth.  I think she is showing off for us.  The ultrasound technician said she is very photogenic!  I think she's one of the cutest babies I've ever seen!  Could be my biased opinion?

Stay tuned for some pics of our little girl's first photo session.

Picture Time!

The baby has been very active and I have been feeling it a lot.  What a fun feeling!  It is very comforting, reassuring, and super exciting to feel all of the kicks and other movements.  We can't wait to see it and all of it's activity next week on the big screen!

Here are a couple of belly pics at week 18.
P.S.  Notice how the viking ornament made it's obvious way into these photos.

Christmas card worthy??

Pink or Blue??

Only 2 more weeks until we find out what it is...so exciting!  I want to hear everyone's opinion on what they think it is.  Leave a comment on this post and let me know your guess.

Here are some more belly pics.  These are week 17.  Excuse the fact that I am in my pj's.  If I'm not at work it is difficult to find me in anything but sweats.  Also, excuse the fact that Jaxon has made an appearance in these photos.  He turns away when you try to take a picture of him but he insists on being in these pictures with me.

Can't wait to hear what you all think!

And this one is just for a laugh...

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

We celebrated Jaxon's 6th birthday today...yes, we celebrate his birthdays.  He is, after all, our first baby.  He had a great day and got some extra special treats including bacon, a new box of milkbones, and an early Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey, baked potato, corn on the cob, green beans and a hot cross bun, all on a frisbee plate.  Happy Birthday/ Thanksgiving buddy!

We also had a great day today!  We went to our 16 week appointment and everything went very well!  We heard the heartbeat, which is music to our ears.  It is in the 150's (beats per minute) just as it has been since week 7.  Weight gain and growth are right on track.  The size of my belly is measuring normal.  Our next appointment is in 3 weeks and we will get the ultrasound then!

Picture Time!

Yes, this is how these two cuddle...I snuck this one :)

15 weeks

Of course, Jaxon had to rear his ugly mug...He always has to be involved!

Another great week!  I felt great this week, except for exhaustion and hunger, but that's to be expected!  We are excited to wrap up this week because we have a doctor's appointment on Monday.  Yay!  I have never been so excited to go to the doctor!  We should get to hear the heartbeat and I will get measured as well.  The next appointment after that...ultrasound!

Gonna miss this....

"You're gonna miss this.  You're gonna want this back.  You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast.  These are some good times so take a good look around.  You may not know it now, but you're gonna miss this."    -Trace Atkins.

I am already having bittersweet feelings about how fast this experience is going by.  I am loving being pregnant (probably because I am feeling so good).  Being pregnant with our first child is something I've been looking forward to for a very long time and I feel like it is flying by way too fast.  However, I probably will not be saying this when I am 30+ weeks pregnant.

I have already told Sam how sad I am because the baby is growing up so fast. :(  I explained to him how sad I am that the baby will grow up to walk and run and will run away from me as I chase them.  Then they will learn to talk and they will talk back to me.  Then they will have their own friends and their own lives and not need their mommy anymore.  He has reminded me that the baby is not even born yet and that we will have a lot of time to love and to spend with this child.  Yay!

I know...I'm pathetic.  I just want to hang on to these experiences as life goes by way to fast.  I am so grateful for all of the wonderful experiences in my life.

By the way, I am 26 years old and will always need my mommy.  We hope we can make an impact on this little one's life the same way that our parents have on our lives.   We have such wonderful friends and family and we look forward to introducing these amazing people to our baby!

So far, so good!

I am currently 14 weeks along and and am loving being pregnant...so far.  I have successfully made it into my second trimester without throwing up once!  I feel like I am "one of the lucky ones".  I was nauseous now and then for a few weeks.  I would immediately eat food and it would seem to go away.  I have other "typical" symptoms but nothing too debilitating.  I am always tired-I can't seem to get enough sleep!  I am exhausted and out of breath A LOT.  Oh yeah, and hungry all of the time, of course.  My hubby is doing a great job of taking care of me and making me sit down and put my feet up.  Then, of course, I immediately fall asleep.  He has been a trooper through my mood swings and does a great job of picking up the slack around the house.  I could get used to this!  :)

People seem to be noticing my belly and commenting a lot.  I'm not going to lie...it's kind of fun being told you look so cute when your doing nothing but gaining weight!  I could get used to this as well!

We are moving along well and continue to hope and pray that everything continues to go as smooth as it has been.

First Baby Pics!

Our little peanut...
This is our baby at 7 weeks.  Not everything has developed yet but it is right where it should be at such an early age.  Aww...he/she's so cute!  Only the Mommy would say that about such a generic blob, huh?

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!  I look forward to sharing this information with you about our new family!  I plan to share some of my thoughts, feelings, fears, experiences, pictures and stories with you-the ones I love.

We are so excited and blessed to be welcoming our little one in May!  We are so happy to be bringing this baby into a family who loves it sooo much already!  We are so fortunate that we have this opportunity and we are enjoying every minute of it.
