This post is dedicated strictly to Daddy. I've been wanting to write one in honor of Sam and the amazing Daddy he has become. So, this is in honor of Father's Day coming up.
Sam wasn't sure he had even held a baby before Leah came along. He wasn't sure he knew the first thing about taking care of a baby. He has been doing a great job and I can already see the special relationship him and Leah are going to have. Sure, she knows me and my voice but the way she locks her eyes on Daddy is just unexplainable. It just melts my heart to see the two of them together-big blue eyes to big blue eyes, staring, laughing, and talking to each other.
Right from the moment we found out we were pregnant it seemed that Sam took on this new role of responsibility. I don't want to say that he "stepped up to the plate" because he has always taken great care of me and all of our responsibilities. I think I just saw a shift in attitude and it was very admirable. He was always aware of my needs during pregnancy and took great care of me. From the moment my water broke Sam completely took charge and got on the phone, taking care of all phone calls so I didn't have to do it. He never once left my side at the hospital and it felt great knowing he was there for me and he was going to be there just as much for Leah.
Sam is an amazing father to this little girl. She is lucky to be able to grow up with such a fun, smart and talented man. He is excited for the day to come that she will follow him around and ask him questions because he's so excited to teach her things.
Sam has never once lost his patience even in the frustration of sleep deprivation and the weariness of the early hours of the morning.
We have been having a great time in our new roles as parents. We have always done a great job working together to take care of things but we are now a new, different kind of team. We do a great job of picking up right where the other one left off. I am overjoyed with the involvement and the dedication Sam has to his family.
Cheers! to the new Daddy.

She loves to lay in Daddy's arms!
It's like a drug...she gets in his arms and she's just plain out!
Again...like a tranquilizer!
Me and my best friend :)
