Shame Shame.

Shame on me...I've been slacking BIG TIME.  I told myself I was going to keep up with this blog, and I did!  Before I got a new job and the baby came.  Anyway, things are busy but everyone is doing great.  We are enjoying our summer and we try very hard to avoid thinking about summer coming to an end.  We've been going for walks to have picnics and play in the park as much as possible.  We've been having fun traveling around visiting family and friends.

Leah's been quite the little fire cracker lately.  She's been doing a lot of teething and getting some of her molars.  Some days are better than others but all in all, I think she's one tough cookie.  She LOVES to eat and I can't even think of one food that she doesn't like right now.  She seems to be right on track as far as development.  She'll go for her 15 month appointment in a couple of weeks.  She likes listening and repeating and she loves talking and signing.  Her new favorite words and signs are cookie, clean, airplane, and bird.  She loves grab your finger and walk laps with you around the house just to do some exploring.  She loves stairs right now and wants to go up and down like a big person.  So, this means many, many trips up and down those stairs for this mama.  Good, cuz it's the only chance I get to exercise!

My Valentines.

Life has been crazy busy but Sam and I did take some time to celebrate Valentine's Day and our anniversary marking 10 awesome years together.  Sam made us a delicious dinner and I highly enjoyed the dozen red roses from my dad and the dozen pink roses from my husband, along with the sweet cards, box of chocolates, and my new right hand ring.  I love it!

I planned a surprise outing and Sam and I had an awesome date night.  We went bowling, then downtown and enjoyed a horse and carriage ride along the river, and then to Brit's Pub.  It was super fun but this mama couldn't stay out long and party as I could hardly keep my eyes open.  I was home and in bed by 10. 

Leah had her 9 month well visit this week and everything is looking great!  Only 1 vaccine this time but next time there will be 5 :(  At least I have 3 months to prepare myself.  She remains in the 95th and 99th percentiles for weight and height and is most certainly hitting all of her milestones.  She is so funny lately and is such a happy baby!  It is amazing to see her learning and growing and she makes me so proud to be her mommy!
